Effective from 6 November 2026.
No account, no password, no email address. No tracking, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you enter stays on your phone. What syncs between the family's phones is encrypted before it leaves the phone — we cannot read it, and we do not know who you are.

Recipes, weekly plans, shopping lists, shops and the offers that have been read are stored in the browser's own storage on your device (localStorage and IndexedDB). It does not leave the phone other than through the sync described below. Legal basis: it is the service you asked for (contract).
If you choose to share a household between several phones, the content is encrypted on the phone before it is sent, and the key exists only on your own phones and in the invitation link. What sits on our server is therefore unreadable packets, a random household id and a timestamp. We cannot see what you eat, what you buy or who you are. Legal basis: contract.
When you paste a recipe link, or choose a shop, our server fetches the page or the flyer for you. The shop's or recipe site's server therefore sees our server, not your phone. We store no connection between a fetch and a user. The fetched material may stay in an ordinary web cache for up to seven days, so that the next family asking for the same flyer does not have to fetch it again. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the service working and in not burdening the shops' sites unnecessarily.
The camera is used only when you start the QR reader yourself to join a household. The image is processed on the phone and is sent nowhere. The camera stops as soon as a code has been read or the sheet is closed.
As on any website, our provider Cloudflare sees technical information about the request — IP address, time and which page was fetched — in order to deliver the page and protect against attacks. We have no analytics, no ad networks, no tracking cookies, and we fetch no fonts or scripts from anyone else. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
Cloudflare, Inc. runs the servers and the database for us as a data processor. Processing takes place primarily within the EU. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, that transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We sell no data and disclose nothing to others, unless the law requires it.
The content on the phone stays until you remove it or clear the browser's data. The encrypted packets in the sync stay until the household's mailbox is emptied. That happens when you change the lock in the app, when you ask us to empty it, or automatically once no phone in the household has added anything for a year.
Weekwall is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about younger children, and the app never asks for a name, an age or contact details.
If this policy changes, we publish the new version here and say so in the app if the change matters.
You have the right to know what is processed about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to the processing. Since we have neither accounts nor readable content, we have in practice nothing to hand out about you in particular — what exists is on your own phone. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se) or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
